Jumbo Bag Top and Bottom Types — Which Configuration Fits Your Product?

Many buyers focus only on fabric weight, capacity, and loop count when ordering jumbo bags, while the top opening and bottom style affect loading and discharge speed just as much — these two choices should match your own filling and emptying equipment, not a fixed standard.

Three common top styles exist: Open Top, filled by scoop or direct gravity flow from a silo; Spout Top, which has an extra fabric sleeve that's tied or closed after filling (reducing dust during hopper filling); and Duffle Top, a wider drawstring-closable opening suited to variable filling equipment.

Two main bottom styles exist: Flat Bottom, the simplest and most common, where the bag stands on its own base (discharge is usually done by cutting or tipping the bag); and Discharge Spout Bottom, with a controlled outlet at the base — used for lines where the bag hangs above a hopper and must be emptied in a controlled way without tipping.

Importantly, top and bottom choices are fully independent — for example, a spout top can be combined with a flat bottom.
