How Much Does an Export Jumbo Bag Cost? Factors That Affect Pricing

Many buyers looking to import jumbo bags from Iran for the first time expect a fixed "price list" they can directly compare across suppliers. But unlike standardized commodities, a jumbo bag is a fully custom-made product, and a real export price genuinely cannot be quoted without exact technical specifications.

Fabric weight (grams per square meter of woven fabric), bag dimensions and capacity, top type (Open Top / Spout Top / Duffle Top) and bottom type (Flat Bottom / Discharge Spout), whether an inner liner or lamination is included, UV additive for sunlight resistance, and whether the bag is single-trip or multi-trip — all of these directly affect the amount of raw material and production time, and therefore the final price.

One of the most common mistakes international buyers make is comparing prices quoted by different suppliers without checking the Incoterm behind each figure. An FOB price (delivered at the origin port) can differ significantly from a CIF price (which includes freight and insurance to the destination port) — so comparing two numbers without knowing their Incoterms is misleading.

Instead of searching for one definitive number, the best approach is for the buyer to send exact specifications (target weight, dimensions, top/bottom type, order quantity, and desired Incoterm) directly to the supplier for an accurate quote. Choosing a supplier with export certification and ISO 9001 standard is also a good criterion for trust and quality in international trade.
